Hello everyone!!
I promise this is the last of my lamp posts, but I found this pair of vintage equestrian stirrup lamps for an incredible price and just couldn't pass them up. They're made quite well and have nice heavy bases. The horse and jockeys appear to be cold painted bronze and are very nicely detailed. I do not know who the manufacturer is that made these lamps, but I've seen a few sell for very high prices.
They were pretty dirty and many components were loose. I cleaned them, polished the brass and stirrups, conditioned and polished the leather. I tightened all of the components, replaced the worn out cords and light sockets, polished the cherry wood bases and replaced the missing felt on the bottom of the lamps. A new set of vintage inspired light bulbs and the lamps were back in full operation once again. The last pic shows the lamps with two of my vintage equestrian riding helmets . These lamps each measure 18" tall and the bases measure 7 3/4" long and 4" deep.
Thanks very much for stopping in for a look!!

Beautiful set of stirrup lamps, very original & inspiring of the hunt. Tally ho!
Jenny,
Thanks very much!! They may end up as a Christmas gift to one of my sisters who competes in equestrian dressage riding competition and also happens to live on a thoroughbred stud farm in Versailles, KY.
