I first posted this piece 8 years ago, In light of recent events concerning a certain GW find I thought I'd give it another shot. It seems fairly close to a Scarpa design. The shape and lack of other colors is unusual as is the turquoise glass. The brushstroke or "pennellate" orange spiral looks exactly right although that can be done by other glass makers. The base has a rough pontil and there is considerable wear and scratching to the bottom which indicates age. I knew I had it somewhere. Then it dawned on me it was at the shop in my booth. Good thing we're closed on Tuesday ! So I picked it up and here it is again after all these years. Any thoughts ?-Mike-
I do not think the base is right Mike, but Post on a Murano FB page (GLGD) one and see what they say
Thanks Rose, I guess you're right. Let the experts weight in. :)
