Hello I’ve just rediscovered this lovely big stone, like the others can’t say how old it is, assumed it was amethyst. Weighs 11.35 , would have been a big nice ring when in the gold shank.

I was looking at antique rings last night and saw a similar stone to this in the sapphire section, literally the same colour
