Hello everyone!!
As I mentioned in my previous post, here is the first of my Steiff collection from The Wind In The Willows. Ratty was made in Germany by Steiff and, though not as detailed as my Longwood Gardens characters, he's still quite nice. His body is made of mohair and he has moveable arms and legs and can stand on it's own without any sort or stand needed. Steiff produced the Wind In The Willows characters in 1999 in a limited number. Many I've seen have long lost their original tags and packaging, but the set that I own still has all of their original packaging and tags. Ratty measures approximately 10" tall and is in mint condition.

Thanks so much!! Steiff animals are most certainly beautiful. Some folks tend to think these are worth a small fortune and rare, but there were 4000 of these made and this one is numbered 2404/4000.
