Hello everyone!!
My wife and I spent the afternoon at a local Peddler's Mall in Louisville today and I came across this beautiful antique Sessions clock. The case is made of tiger oak and has developed a really nice patina over the years. a good cleaning and polishing was all it needed. Wound the clock and hung the pendulum and it works beautifully. It has a Cathedral gong which sounds very beautiful when it gongs on the hour and half hour. I read where Sessions took over and renamed the E.N. Welch Clock Company in 1903. The CE evidently indicates the clock was made in the first two years of the renaming. The clock measures 11 3/8" tall, 9 1/2" wide and 4 7/8" deep.
A BIG thanks to our CW friend dav2no1 for the wonderful sleuthing in identifying this clock. thanks Dave!!!
Thanks very much for stopping in for a look!!
