This Delft banquet lamp was a housewarming gift. I love it. It's 32.5 inches tall. The giver told me she bought it at an antique shop in Kentucky. The shop owner told her it was part of a World Expo offering by the Dutch East India Company. It was originally a kerosene lamp but was electrified many years ago. Every piece is original and is in working order. The top globe is translucent while the other two pieces are not. I love the blue enamel on the base. I have never seen a Delft lamp this size or with such a gorgeous portrait of a lady, nor has anyone ever been able to provide any additional information. I would like to know who the lady is. I am thinking she may be the Queen of Denmark, but I really have no clue. Does anyone out there have any info? Thanks much!
