    Hello everyone!!
I have nearly all of Kenneth Grahame's books and this is the oldest of the Kenneth Grahame books that I have in my collection. The Golden Age was first published in May 1895 and this particular copy was published in August 1895 which makes it the second edition ever publish. It's still in very good condition to be nearly 130 years old. One interesting feature of this particular printing is that the title is printed in gold gilt lettering on both the front and back covers, which is something I haven't seen often. Though many sites list only 6 books written by Kenneth Grahame, I believe there were actually 8 books written by Kenneth Grahame. I have 7 of those in my collection and they are as follows:
The Golden Age 1895 (1895 Second Edition)
Pagan Papers 1898 (1900 Seventh Edition)
Dream Days 1898 (1899 Second Edition)
Wind In The Willows 1908 (Rare 1908 Second Edition English Printing)
Wind In The Willows 1908 (1908 Second Edition US Printing)
My Dearest Mouse 1908 (1910 Forth Edition)
First Whisper Of The Wind In The Willows 1945 (1945 First Edition)
    Bertie's Escapade 1949 (1949 First Edition)

There is another book that I do not have, The Headswoman, published in 1898 and the illustrated edition published in 1921. Perhaps one day I'll find a decent copy for my collection.

Thanks very much for stopping in for a look!!!

    Scott
