Antique ring???

Hello I’ve just rediscovered this lovely item and just had a close look at it for the first time, looks very interesting, I think it’s a vintage or maybe antique ring which has had the metal taken, not seen this before but I’m thinking that these stones look very old and the style of the ring must have been Victorian, my first impression, curious what the metal is, platinum maybe.
