Although called a Queen Anne and looking like something much earlier these were patented in 1961 and produced by Ronson for about 20years. They made a lot in this time and are relatively common.
My local antique shop (can't call it my favourite anymore as it's the only one left!) has had it in there for a while, my birthday was last Thursday and I decided to treat myself. They have a silver plated base but the lighter itself is chrome plated. It didn't look like this in the shop but after some cleaning with some Silvo on the base and Brasso on the actual lighter came up looking a lot nicer.
Of course last Thursday was also the day I found my Victorian Tilt Table at the Sallies so it was a great day!
Last image is my new Victorian condiment dishes and the new lighter on the afore mentioned table, my new favourite place to display new purchases.
Nice one!!! I love the old Ronson lighters and have several of the Crown lighters. This one's a beauty!!!
This one is a classic and a heavy one !
Beautiful! I'm a fan of old lighters. :)
Happy Birthday !
