A recent purchase I love the shape and the striking colours.
Giovanni (Italian for John) was the name used by John Leggott and John Croucher for their Auckland partnership in glass between 1991 and 1995.
Later they created Gaffer Glass which exported glass rod and powders all over the Pacific for other Glassmakers to be able to use their sumptuous colours and to be able to replicate the same colour more than once.
The middle pedestal is quite a small diameter making this an art piece to display by itself, no flowers or chockies.
The base is only lightly finished and engraved "Giovanni Glass NZ".
Height 150mm and 245mm wide.
Cool piece..
