    These are two open salts designed by Heinrich Hoffman and made in Czechoslovakia. The one with polo players, 538 pattern, is uranium glass and carries a clear Hoffman butterfly mark, the other isn't uranium and has a partial mark. These can be seen online being sold, incorrectly, as by Baccarat but they are shown in the Hoffman catalogues. Probably from the 1930's-40's.

      Yes kivatinitz, I believe Argentinian players can often be found at matches in England, high society events. I think this indicates the market Hoffman was aiming for.
