This is a small steam boiler to power small steam engines. Brand = Stuart model # 501. Mid-size in this series.
The first photo shows a view of the front of the boiler with water level gauge, pressure gauge, propane gas burner, and a view of the recovery water container.
The second photo shows a close-up of the front featuring the blow down valve and also the water recovery pump.
The third photo shows the rear view of the boiler where the ceramic burner goes under the boiler tank.
The last photo shows the water recovery pump.
On top of the brass boiler, you can see the outlet for the steam, controlled by a hand valve. In the rear of the boiler tank, you can see the pressure relief valve. This is set to go off when the boiler pressure exceeds 65 P.S.I.
Despite its small size, this boiler features four superheated steam tubes, located under the boiler which heats the wet steam in the tubes to produce super-heated steam. This steam is invisible to the eye because it is so dry and hot. Steam that you can see is called wet steam and contains water vapor which is what you can see. Super-heated steam is much more efficient, but you have to be extra careful because you can't see the true danger of this powerful steam.

thank you Dave, thank you Scott, for your comments.

My problem is that I have too much varied interests. If I were to concentrate my interest to only a few subjects, I could,.... first,.... be more knowledgeable about the subjects that I am interested in. Secondly, I would spend more on the few interests and less spent on the many interests that I have.
(OF COURSE, this is in direct accordance what my wife tells me.)
In this day and age, like the saying goes, (a term that I hear way too much these days,) I am too soon old and too smart slow to follow these rules.
My true love is to relate to others, the things that I find interesting, and to hope that people will continue to share this information to others.
