Hello everyone!!
I haven't posted a cast iron rabbit for a while, so I thought I'd post this one. It's a vintage cast iron rabbit doorstop. I'm willing to believe that this fellow has more than a couple of coats of paint on it, but I'm just going to leave this one as is. I did clean him the best I could and gave him a good coat of wax. Unlike most of these you’ll see, this is a one piece hollow design. Others will be a two piece design held together with 1 or 2 bolts. I'm not sure who the foundry was that cast this one or exactly when he was cast, but I'd say he's mid 20th century at least. He measures 10 3/4" tall and 9 1/2" long. He weighs in at 13lbs 5oz. So, a pretty heavy fellow.
Thanks very much for stopping in for a look!!
