Hello everyone!!
One of my recent finds is this early 1900's cast iron "Cockatoo On Perch" , aka Polly, doorstop. Hubley made one nearly identical to this one and numbered theirs 180. However, this one is not a Hubley. This one is numbered 35 near the base and was made by an unknown foundry. Though it has experienced a tremendous amount of paint loss over the past 100 plus years, I think it simply gives it character. For $30 I just couldn't go wrong and bought it right away. It measures 8 1/8" tall and 5 1/4" wide.
Thanks very much for stopping in for a look!!!

Wonderful cockatoo doorstop, great shape in the Hubley style. You got a bargain here Scott!
Jenni,
Thanks!! I had a Hubley, that I posted a few years ago, but a friend of mine managed to sweet talk me into giving to her. So, I'm glad to have another cockatoo:)
