    I think that these are fake pearls from the early 20th century. The clasp is marked sterling and is done in a very Edwardian style. I've been buying these necklaces to give to all the women in my family. Some of my sisters don't like the chunky pieces i like, so this will be good for one of them. I don't think they are real pearls as there is no grit when i rub them on my teeth. Any info appreciated.
