Small Vase with an interesting form and glaze

When i first looked at this, i thought it might be Pewabic, but now that i've gotten some of the felt off the base, i see that it is much too neat and tidy for a Pewabic piece. The bottom is covered with felt, and i'm having a difficult time removing it. The bisque is an ivory color. Any idea how i might remove the felt? There is also wax on the outside of the pot which i'm slowly getting off. Someone had a candle in it at one time. Any info appreciated!
