Hello everyone!!
Here's a doorstop I've searched for many years to find. These are incredibly difficult to come by and quite rare. He was extremely dirty when I bought him and had a heavy coat of black soot all over him. I carefully cleaned him and polished him the best I possibly could, but I think he turned out nicely. Though the paint looks a bit rough, it still retains 95% of it's paint and 100% original, which is extremely rare to find. There are even traces of pink paint still remaining on his ears and eyes. He's a two piece design held together with two bolts. This one was cast sometime between 1900 and 1920, although no one has been able to determine what foundry cast him. I'm extremely happy to have this fellow in my rabbit and hare collection. He measures 8 7/8" tall, 8 1/2" long and weighs 6lbs 1oz.
Thanks very much for stopping in for a look!!!
Scott

Beautiful antique rabbit in amazing condition for age, you've done a fine job restoring him Scott
Jenni,
Thank you very much!! Not really a restoration, but just a thorough cleaning. I'm really glad that I was able to remove most of the black soot.
