Here is a 4"H cobalt blue & white on clear glass penguin made by Schroders Glass of New Zealand. At one time glassmaker Nigel Schroder also worked at Hokitika Glass

Dave it absolutely does look like snow, what a terrific feature to have on a glass penguin! Pilgrim Glass also made a snowy tummy set on transparent black, I posted it here, the difference was it was applied to the figure, this one is smooth

Right Scott, doesn't the snowy tummy look real, and the cobalt blue back is so cool & a little different for a penguin (most are B&W)
Bernard you are totally right I have seen them too, and often the seller description says 'by Nigel Schroder for Hokitika' so I'm thinking, perhaps his art glass studio is part of Hokitika, as I've also seen similar glass fish with either label. All I know is, it's great to find some of your beautiful NZ glass animals to share here
