Dad and a couple army buddies goofing around. This and another photo of him standing by himself are often misunderstood and I am asked was your dad a Nazi? I just assume that they don't look where the patch is sewn! As you can see, I still have the shorts and his dog tags.

Fun to see your dad clowning around w. the other soldiers. To them, at the time, the German swastika just meant 'the enemy', they did not yet know the horrors of the camps til liberation

And Spunky's Mom, it's nice that you have your father's dog tags, that's great. My father served in the Navy during Korea, and two uncles in WW2 (one Navy, one Marines) so thanks to them all for their service & fighting for our freedom :)

Thanks, Newfld! I forgot to mention that my dad was Jewish. You might have been able to tell by the "H" on the dog tag for Hebrew. He had a very good sense of humor. This was just his way of expressing his thoughts on them. I couldn't agree with him any more!
