Hello everyone!!
I hope you all had a wonderful Easter and Passover. A recent doorstop find for me is this cast iron French Bulldog . This one in all original and still retains 98% of it's original polychrome paint . It was made in the 1930 period. Littco, National Foundry and Hubley all made identical versions of this French Bulldog, but National stamped the number 144 on the belly of theirs, which this one does not have. Hubley's version was numbered 304. Littco simply placed a small decal on the belly, which are most always missing. So, this one could be a Littco or a Hubley, but I do not want to disturb the original paint to see of there is the number 304 inside. It's extremely rare to find one of these in all original condition such as this one. It measures 6 3/8 long and 7 3/4" tall. It weighs 4.5lbs.
Thanks very much for stopping in for a look!!
