This 2"L goldtone cat brooch has small blue, green and black rhinestones, with a 1" faceted oval blue glass stone body. By Alice Caviness ca the 1960s, with name in cartouche on the back. This cat came in several different colors and can be seen in black on nasvete. com / Caviness Kaleidoscope effect

DejaVu isn't this a sweet kitty brooch, one of Caviness' most popular I think. The big blue glass stone is really reflective and picks up light wherever I go
Scott, she sure is a cute one at that :) Usually I don't like black rhinestones in jewelry but used as accent stones here they make a perfect bow tie & ears, and mixing green accents with sapphire blue always looks nice
SpunkysMom, how great that you have this cat in clear iridescent, it must be beautiful. It always surprises me when I find American pieces from sellers in other countries, I expect there are Caviness collectors around the world as she made so many unique and appealing designs
vintagelamp, it is certainly a pretty blue & very eye catching. Congratulations on your new kitten, I'm sure it will grow on your dogs as it is a young feline - think they have trouble liking each other when a cat is older
Phil you're so right, the construction of this cat is amazing, it's almost like art the way Caviness designed the ears, eyes, nose and bow tie in contrasting color rhinestones to the blue base, great observ!
