I found this in a local junk shop, it was very dirty but a quick clean fixed that. It is 5" tall, cut and engraved, dates from around 1800-1830 and is in immaculate condition. It rings beautifully. The foot is rather crude and heavy compared to the bowl and was possibly produced separately by a less skilled worker.
Very nice !!!
Thanks vetraio50, that's what I thought too.
I love this old glasses
Thanks kivatinitz, I've added a photo of one of a similar age, engraved with the name James Hogg, a surname common in Scotland.
stunning !!!!!
