I have been so amazed with the first brooch i the green, that I purchased a second in the brown & amber colors. they are made of slender navattes and accented with small rhinestones. the brooch consists of several separate layers of varying number of stones, the top has 6 then 6 then 5 etc.... down to one. Each layer is held onto the other with the mesh cord attached on the back. Interesting. I have actually written a report on these. Seems that MaryAnne Dolan says they are WEISS? Any comments. Lori

As you probably know, Weiss didn't sign all of their jewelry. Look for actual pieces the same as yours that are signed.
DejaVu2. You are absolutely correct. these brooches show some quality, and the use of the mesh cord well, that looks likes Haskell's brand of designs. The reference I made to MaryAnne Dolan is from her book, in which she shows a picture of a set, brooch and earrings, (black and white photo) similar in appearance to the brooch, and states only the earrings are marked WEISS.

Hi I stumbled upon this group while trying to find info about the same brooch Lori has here. Looks like a great group! I have this brooch AND earrings in a peridot green and fushia. I wish I knew how to post a pic for you all here :(. Well anyway just wanted to add that the earrings are not signed either.
