      A good clue, but not always..is to check the clasp..this can rule out earlier pieces.

      You got good advice from dav2no1 re: the clasp. Does it show any sign of being a replacement? The way the hinge/pin stem is constructed is in an older manner, so wondering if the clasp is not original. However, the way the bail works & the style of the cameo itself place it in the 20th century, best guess 1920s-30s. And I have seen pieces that were mounted in Italy with an anachronistic pin/hinge.

      She is quite lovely.
