This 2 1-4" pink rhinestone on goldtone starfish brooch was made by the Continental Jewellery Co of Montreal Canada founded in 1943, this piece ca the 1950s

Super pretty starfish brooch! The use of prongs make this a very desirable piece!

DejaVu thank you for your marvelous compliments for this pretty pink starfish, I always think of ocean creatures as the warmer weather nears, and starfish are one of my favorites esp in jewelry. This one has wonderful secure prongs which have allowed it to survive these many yrs & still be in great condition
Phil I hoped you would see this piece by Continental, they were a less well known contemporary of Sherman and it's actually my only brooch by them, I too love this shade of pink which was a super popular color in the fifties. Thank you for your terrific praise
Yes, I am aware of Sherman`s competition. The clear necklaces are easy to find and then the coloured pieces are hard to get. Awesome find !
