Eastlake Shelf upcycled into hat rack

Hi, I found this cool wooden shelf (Eastlake 1880’s ?) walnut? At a garage sale $10 I had planned to upcycled this into a hat /coat rack but was in search of some hooks/knobs after about 1.5 year I was again at a garage sale that had tons of tools and hardware, which most were free got the the brass antique door knobs and door plates (free) I ended up getting tons of old brass Door knobs and plates with locks I though what would be awesome to use /upcycled with the Eastlake shelf I still need to attach the knobs to the shelf and the little hooks rotate spin around May attach to the top as shown maybe good for necklaces I haven’t decided if I’m going to paint or leave the shelf as is Natural also may ad/put a mirror on the top shelf or wall above the shelf any thoughts/suggestions thanks
