When I purchased it the whole patina was black. I thought that that was the nature of the brooch until I tried to gently clean it. I was surprised by the sparkly nature of the brooch.. it seems to have enamelled wings and these are still dull. I would love to know anything about it including an idea of who may have made it. Many thanks for your friendly expert help in advance.
Beautiful bird brooch, what a charming design! I would guess cockatiel or even cockatoo as both birds are crested parrots, it's a lovely find
I think perhaps it is a Parrot
high in the Crows Nest
on a Crystal ship :)
