For the last two weeks, I have been working on this model 1750 Brillie brothers electromagnetic clock, it is a master clock in that it can run other clocks, time clocks, bells and whistles. These clocks can not be placed anywhere there is a wall. They are built on a marble slab which weighs over 33 lbs. Mine is on the end of a sturdy bookcase now. When I got it the coil had come loose in shipping and the suspension spring was shot. The battery holder is different the positive connection is between to negative connections. When I got the clock someone used heavy copper wire to affix it to wall, not a great idea. I order the specific brace for the clock. The clock has to be level in order for it to work. I decided to leave the face as it is, I brushed off the loose paint and sprayed it with some poly to seal it. All that being said, it is up and running.
These clocks are supposedly accurate loosing only one second a day.
