Kevin, thank you for your fantastic praise for this big guy, it is indeed a great size and very heavy glass, it was quite hard to maneuver taking the photos but I managed to do him justice I think :)

Thanks JB for your super comment. I really love the blended colors on glass animals too, this turtle's back shell is a really good example. Mostly you find this type in Murano glass but some US co's are getting good at it
