This oil painting is in need of preservation / restoration. The Painting's title etc. reads as follows: "(A Fat Pig) by Mr. Samuel Hope of Broad Farm, Alcester Warwickshire England 18??" (I can't make out the date, 1852?) There are multiple internet search results for "Samuel Hope of Warwickshire 1800s." at the Ancestry.com type websites. Not being a paid subscriber, my information is limited, but the free name and date range match up to the painting. No mention is made of Mr. Hope's artistic skills. The frame looks authentic / original? (painting 14 5/8 x 12 1/2 inches) - (frame 17 3/8 x 13 3/8 inches)
