    Not sure of the significance between two or three sapphires. Does anyone know more about these pieces?

      Very lovely service awards of your father. Only venturing a guess as my husband was given incremental awards for years of service...perhaps each sapphire represents a sequence of job years, five or ten years each say. If you know how many yrs your father worked for Marine Midland, you could figure it out. Each sapphire could also represent landing a major company account, it might be best to try & locate another former Marine Midland employee, good luck :)
