I would like to know what era this was made. Who (or what company) made it. And what it may be worth. The story is it survived the 1909 quake.

I really like this shade. I think it is European for two reasons. The design is pulled feather (or peacock feather) over oil spots. American art glass makers, Tiffany, Stueben, Quezal, etc. didn't really use oil spotting. On the other hand, European art glass makers like Johann Loetz did use oil spotting regularly and used the pulled feather technique. The other reason is the shape of the shade. It is a typical shape for Europe and not for US. You might consider emailing pictures to http://www.loetz.com for identification. I hope this helps.

Not sure if you ever found the make of this shade....but I believe it is a Loetz, pattern number II-6293 in its namesake decor PG 6293. The description found in the Lnenicova reference book pg 609 says: leaf green and silver on upper half, 6 leaves, 12 scallops to the rim, papillon spots on the lower half of the shade and an ivory interior. Year 1908!
