Three weeks ago I bought this bowl for less than cup of coffee here on Sydney's north shore, came home and searched the net for hours for a possible maker. But it stumped me .... Image search had not worked and so I put it aside. Then yesterday I was speaking with Marty Koenig aka Ozmarty and tried to help him with an interesting iridescent vase. I mentioned that I had a copy of WMF Ikora & Myra Gläser / Glass by Burschel & Scheiffele. While checking for Marty I came across a photo on page 170. Bingo !!!

The pix were from a 1951 WMF catalogue on page 170 (actually page 35 of the 1951 catalogue) devoted to “Perlora Kristall”.
    On it were just 11 designs (8200 - 8205) & (8300 - 8304).

My new acquisition of mine had been found : a bowl - 8303 Schale c. 30 cm.
According to the catalogue it was available in Grün, Topas un Goldrubin. Mine is Grün.

    W : 30cm or 11.8"
    H : 9.5 cm or 3.75"

'Perlora' seems to have been a WMF brand name for 11 designs with controlled bubbles in 1951.

The folded rim should have reminded me of some of the Ikora bowls.

Books still have their use !!!

What I still don't know is the designer of the bowl : is it Karl Wiedmann or Walter Dexel ????

So far, only the so-called "Dexelei" Walter Dexel has been proven.
