A nicely rendered Art Nouveau figural porcelain piece depicting two girls in a playful mood (or one assisting the other up from a sitting position). Dimensions: 14"(H) x 14"(W).
The bottom of this Art Nouveau ceramic has an impressed mark that looks to be either a Lambda or "V" within a triangular depression and the number "4592" (see last picture). I'm suspect that this is a German, Bohemian and/or Austrian porcelain (I guess it could be French, as well), but the mark is unknown to me.
Any attribution information regarding a possible designer, manufacturer, or period retailer for this piece would be most appreciated.
What a stunner! Amphora? Reissner, Stellmacher & Kessel?
I wish I knew! The mark is completely unknown to me, and I haven't had much luck in my research finding a match.
