This bronze bunchin is just under 4" long x 1" high x .75" wide. I think there is an indecipherable makers mark at the extreme left of the first image, at the end of the ox but I cannot make it out. Bunchins are used to hold down paper during calligraphy creation.
This was a $.99 find and just described as "cast metal". As soon as I handled it, I was certain it is bronze as it is quite heavy for its size. A nice little piece that came in a nice little box with no markings on it. I am quite happy with this purchase.
