I have this "oil lamp conversion" I think. It measures approx. 15" It has been electrified, thus my wonderment about history of this . Glass shades have a jadeite look, but again not sure. They do not glow under UV lighting. It appears to be newer, so maybe a reproduction. However I really cant find much in similarity to this one. Even the lamp shade is a twist on the typical "Aladdin Style" shades you more often than not see with this style of lamp.....Any info on this is appreciated. Especially proper terminology for the different aspects of the lamp...Thank you all again for everything...John
They made a lot of lamps in the seventies to early 1980's like this one which are unmarked. The internet is not a place normally for history as when a piece is sold it is usually taken off the market and the net !~
Thx Phil.....Fort...
It's a vintage 1960s-70s electric table lamp, from when Colonial/Early American was a home decorating fad. An oil lamp would have a font to put the oil in. Sellers more often than not refer to these as GWTW (Gone With The Wind) lamps. No idea who made yours.
Here's a painted decor milk glass version.
