Aww I love ducks, especially the mallards. And even though I'm in Washington state, I'm a huge Oregon Ducks football fan!

Dave the mallards are such big beautiful ducks esp the green headed males, love the way they often travel with their less striking brown mate, loyal pairs like the cardinal. They occasionally wander up my street from the bay area close by, it's wonderful to see them they're quite impressive. Sports teams with animal names are super cool, go Ducks! Here it is baseball World Series hopes for the NY Mets, my husband is a longtime fan, though he can't get too excited with their unpredictable record :) Thanks for your terrific comment
Phil I agree they really studied the mallard closely to get that beautiful colorful glass in all the right places. It's a large heavy piece which you sometimes find with Dynasty animals, I had to be careful doing the photos. Thank you for your marvelous comment & fine observ
We have lots of ducks around here too. Mainly mallards. There's a pair that stop by every year and hang out to rest for a couple days while on their big flight.
Dave that's great that you get lots of mallards & some stop by before their flight, they're so gorgeous. Most of our birds seen around here are seagulls who are off course for Jones Beach which is just 3mi away
