Box feels like brass or cooper with A good scarce 1901-08 die-sramped pin Arny

A beautiful box with unattached Pin cap, I’m seeking to see if the box fits the age of the badge and whether it was maybe at some stage glued on to the box but become unattached.

The cap I think is from 1908 so pre war.
