Hello I have rediscovered this watch which is gold 9k and a Iwc but crown needs fixing and I’ve not taken it, also looks like the dial could do with refurbishing, not sure of the model or the age of it, thinking of getting rid of it now.
Update just had the crown repaired, not sure if I should pay the money to have dial restored or leave it, this seems a bit rare as I don’t see many with big sub seconds at 6.
Appears your model may be 1950s and a model 83? 18k gold. The earlier ones(mid 1940s) had the top II together vs a space with yours. Of course like I always say..open the back and look at serials, etc.

Thanks dav , I did take the back off once before just to have a look , I might have a pic somewhere and will check but it’s a 9k version not 18.
Wasn’t sure about the age so great tip
