the glass is in the cane motif

They are English marks. Sterling. WJM & Co. the anchor mark for Birmingham and a date letter ‘n’.
If you go to a silver mark site you’ll be able to see that the ‘n’ in that cartouche shape is 1912. Similarly if you go to a list of Birmingham makers you’ll find W J Myatt & Co … who specialised in this type of ware. By the way the lid should screw off rather than pull off totally.
Thank you I couldn't read the Makers part of the mark, and this is really helpful. I think there is possibly a piece missing from this as it is simply a pull-off. A great find though so very happy.
