    Hi

Got this from an estate sale - wondering what it is. Can't find any info on Blount or Fargo so not sure who the manufacturer is

The inside is stamped New Haven USA and Jan 23 1900- very specific date lol but I assume that's when it was manufactured

Anybody know anything about this watch

Welcome to CW. Very interesting mystery you have. It appears to be a New Haven pocket watch. The markings on the face..

Blout is a Scottish word meaning..

A sudden eruption of liquid substance, accompanied by noise.

      (2) A sudden burst: (a) of wind, rain, hail, etc.

This second meaning would fit Fargo? The interesting thing I noticed..it say blout then a comma then Fargo down below. Was this a city or family name in Fargo? Or perhaps the watch owner?

You should try to reach out to the history museum. They may have answers? Please update us with any information you find..

Thanks for the input - interesting idea will check out the link and see if they can provide information- wondering now if maybe New Haven made watches that were sent to local jewelers who would then put their own face on the watch??? It's definitely a mystery
