Bernard it is truly an adorable hummer, they are such beautiful birds to see in flight except they're so quick you can almost miss them! This one will happily be sticking around for awhile :) Thank you for your super comment
Phil they are really nice realistic colors aren't they, the green head and the clever dotted design at the throat, plus the black 'Pinocchio' nose. One of my favorite birds, glad you liked it too. Thank you for your great comment
They are quick alright. We were in LA in 96 waiting for a shuttle to take us to D Land and one zipped in had a look at a couple of bushes and zipped away again. Her Indoors asked if I got a photo, my SLR was around my neck, but if I had taken the time to get it out check the lens and settings I never would have seen much of him. Only one we ever saw, a beautiful blue jewel!! :)
Bernard your LA sighting is so true, there is never any time to capture a hummingbird photo (unless you are a naturalist out in a hummingbird-rich rainforest :), they zip around at lightning speed! Beautiful iridescence don't they have. Great story & cool experience
Thanks Ivonne & Kevin for the love it's always very gratefully appreciated
Penny thank you so much for loving my hummingbird, so pleased that you liked him & always grateful for your kindness
