This hand painted Japanese bat themed necklace is made of a central porcelain plaque, depicting two bats on both sides, and seven porcelain beads. It is joined together with a faded purple cord and has a dangling pompon. This type of cord and pompon are frequently used in various Japanese decorations. The plaque is about 2.5" x 1.5" and is fairly thin. This came from the same source as a "lightning bolt" signed bowl that I recently posted.
It is not signed and maker and age are not known. Japanese equivalent of costume jewelry?
Thank for the bat luv, Merrill33, inky, Kevin, Vynil33rpm, mikelv85, JenniPhilDMorris, dav2no1 and fortapache!
