Kutani decorative plate, 1930s.

This Kutani plate is about 5.5" in diameter and marked on the back with a generic Kutani mark. Gotheborg dates this mark to about 1930.

I am decorating one of my bathrooms with Japanese pottery on the walls, so have been keeping my eye out for some interesting Japanese plates and trays and came across this one recently.

I seldom see plates with interior scenes. Most depict the outdoors.
