Here is a 4"W opaque blue satin glass bird that was item #5163 by Fenton Glass issued between 1978-1982. This version was named Blue Roses on Blue Satin BL as seen in photo #4, taken from the book Glass Animals and Figurines by Coe. Handpainted by Fenton artist Frida Hubbard

Kevin I love Fenton too, they had such great animal varieties & glass colors (and I love your posts of their beautiful work beyond animals), this opaque floral blue glass is one of their prettiest creations. Thank you so much for your wonderful comment

Phil you are very astute, while I mostly post new finds, this one has been in my collection a long time, though not as long as the years it was made :) I had forgotten that it was never posted and thought such a pretty bird deserved a post. Thank you for your great insightful comment & the love
