Probably needs an expert on candles but I have a pair of beautiful sticks which can be either high or you can unscrew so they are lower. One is slightly broken and is kept in by a cork but otherwise they are complete. Very heavy whether brass or bronze.
Height 26 cm’s
Bottom Diameter - 14.5 cm’s
Also any cleaning suggestions ????
"Color is one way to tell brass and bronze apart. Brass is usually yellow, like dull gold, while bronze is generally a reddish brown."
And a sound test..

Thank you Dav2no1, will give it a bash :)
If old and valuable cleaning may not be a great idea as the pattina of old items is usually more valued than polished up looking like new.
a PIC of the base bottom??? Is it covered ?? or open where you can see the inside ??
Thank you, Bhifos, any excuse to not clean is appreciated; it would have been quite a hard job, I reckon.
Phil, I have uploaded a picture of the base in place of one of the previous ones.
I am thinking potentially French, but also gives me Church like vibes. Thank you for all your help.
I have a heavy duty aluminum one which shows the same patina on it, that is quite heavy, you would not expect !~
Wow is it unusual aluminium? I was thinking 18th c but can’t imagine they used aluminium back then ?
