Another of my paternal grandmother’s books. An inscription from “Edna” is dated 1909. My grandmother grew up in a farming family, her father was as n itinerant blacksmith and farmer who somehow scraped up the money to send his lovely daughter to Bates College where she got her teaching degree and met my grandfather
