An early 1970 highball glass tumbler featuring an official gold seal of the president from a design chosen by First Lady Jackie Kennedy for use in official state occasions in the State Dining Room. This glass tumbler was manufactured and stamped by the Fostoria Glass Company and is a rare prototype for the final design proof.
The vice president tumbler features the seal used from 1948 to 1975 and has the hallmark of the Morgantown Glassware Guild stamped on the bottom and is a rare prototype for the final design proof. The Guild was bought by Fostoria Glass Company in 1965, but closed it in 1971 making this tumbler pre-1971. The Fostoria Glass Company itself ceased business in 1986.
