Wylie Ponder etched vase.

This vase is about 7.5" high and 2" square. It is etched on all four sides with marine scenes and signed "Ponder 91" on the bottom. This is an example of the work of American artist Wylie Ponder who was born in 1948, probably in Tarrant County, Texas. He was active as a glass and watercolor artist from the mid-1980s until the mid-1990s, as far as I have been able to determine. I think that he was the creator of the glass objects that he decorated, in addition to etching them. I have found no information about his training or work as an artist or details of his life. Much of his glass work uses this green glass and marine scenes. I did find a few clear glass pieces with a variety of decorations.
