Hello everyone!!
In continuation of my equestrian and fox hunt related items, is this pair of vintage English huntsmen. I believe these were once part of a boot scraper and still had a large portion of the original base attached to these huntsmen's feet. I was able to remove that excess original base material. So, this is not how these were originally mounted, nor is this the original base. I'm considering making individual wood bases and remounting them. Someone had also attempted to repaint these and didn't do quite so well. I was able to repaint these the way they're supposed to be. I'm not really sure how old these are or where these were made, but I'm thinking 1930 to 1950 and made in England. They're made of spelter and measure 8 1/4" tall and 3" wide. I thought my antique Austrian bronze hounds made a nice addition to this pair of English huntsmen.
Thanks for stopping in for a look!!

Sensational English huntsmen, they are quite debonair in their hunting finery. Once again Scott, a splendid restore
Jenni,
Thank you very much!! I found one of these last year, but the seller had a firm $$$$ price tag on it and I'm just not willing to pay that much for just one. Landed this pair for a fraction of that cost!!!!
